SERMON: July 3rd, 2016 “It’s Time to Go “The Xtra Mile!”” Part 2

Our Scripture today is Matthew 5:41 “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.  We learned that the Romans at the time had a rule, that if a Roman soldier went up to anyone and asked them to carry their burden, the person would have to comply and walk that mile carrying the Roman solider’s burden.  Like us, our first mile is our duty, but the second mile is where we are now in control, and it is in that second mile that we can witness the love of Christ.  The second mile is the witnessing mile, the sacrifical mile, the commitment mile, the healing mile, the deliverance mile and our destiny mile.  So for us to reach Vulcan and Vulcan County, we must function in the second mile so we can see God at work.
